Alternative fabrics: Rayon wraps and Viscose wraps

Diane von Furstenberg also makes some solid color wraps in black and chocolate brown, available season after season since these are wardrobe staples. The standard wraps, season in season out, come in two main styles:

• Jeanne wrap dress - collared, long sleeves, slightly A-line skirt (but just the slightest bit)
• Julian wrap dress - uncollared, 3/4-sleeves, straight skirt

They are usually made of 100% rayon although I've just found out that DvF has moved towards using a similar-feeling 85% viscose/15% polyamide fabric that is slightly drapier and heavier in feel.
These do sell out very quickly, so I try to stock up on these whenever I can find them.

The prices you see here are what you pay, inclusive of my costs, which already factor in NYC sales tax and associated delivery fees to have the items sent to me (delivery fee varies by shop and ranges from $12-$50, depending on how rare or far or special order the item is).

Currently, I have the following available:

This year, Diane has introduced a few new rayon wraps.

• the ever-flattering and feminine Kye: uncollared and cap-sleeved with underbust ruching and straight skirt; Material: 85% viscose/15% polyamide fabric; retail: $335 -- on sale for $300!
  
• the beautiful Lipstick Red Terri wrap in rayon viscose. Like the Alycia from earlier this year, this is a heavy, drapey fabric that looks poured on -- just stunning! -- (uncollared with fuller skirt, fanned ruching at waist, draped short sleeves with a slight puff! ; Material: viscose; retail $395); available by special order only -- SOLD OUT!
  

This past summer, Diane did two beautiful rayon viscose wrap dresses in solid colors:

• the Sava, which came in either Black or Brown -- sold out in shops -- (uncollared with cap sleeves and slightly fuller skirt; Material: viscose; retail $335) -- US4 is the LAST ONE in Black! US8 is the LAST ONE in Brown!
  
• and the Jude, which came in either Chocolate or Tangerine -- (uncollared, sleeveless and straight skirt; Material: viscose; retail $335) -- ON SALE! -- Chocolate is SOLD OUT! --US12 is the LAST ONE in Tangerine!
  

Diane also introduced the lovely Jules wrap, a collared halter in her usual rayon fabric:

Every so often, Diane will do an interesting variation on the solid color wraps, such as adding a reversible waist sash (Geesha, Ricarda, Denise), contrast detailing (Ricarda, Jeanne with piping), interesting sleeves (Geesha, Ricarda), a different color (Chocolate is a recent addition and I've also seen burgundy and hunter green), or shorter/longer length (Aftonella, mini Jeanne, Lelazi halter gown). This year, she even did a Jeanne pantsuit for her shop!

Diane's runway pieces are most often in US6, though I have seen slight variations up or down in size. Therefore, the exclusive items and runway items are categorized as US6 unless I find the fit to be otherwise.

All items available for pick-up in NYC. Shipping cost is additional and I prefer USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation for US addresses and Global Express for International addresses. Cash, PayPal, Western Union, USD money orders and USD bank drafts accepted. Credit/debit PayPal payments have an additional 5% surcharge added to cover the fees that PayPal assesses, so if you can pay by non-credit/non-debit card PayPal, you can avoid having to pay that additional 5% surcharge.
